During 2019 Roger and Angela decided to retire. They opted not to sell the business, but to change the structure to an Employee Owned Trust (EOT) for the benefit of the employees and customers.

Longstanding employee Paul Dalliday took over the day to day running of Thorokleen as the Director, with the support of a board of Trustees. The Trust holds shares on behalf of the 100+ employees, and those who when qualified enjoy rewards in line with company performance.

Since 2019 Thorokleen has gone from strength to strength, adapting to the pandemic, and since picking up even more prestigious clients and contracts.

With the setup of the Employee Owned Trust, the business has enjoyed enviable levels of staff retention in an industry not known for this.

The EOT has seen levels of staff motivation and productivity rise, all contributing towards the long-held business mantra of Thorokleen; to deliver ‘Complete Customer Satisfaction’.
